The Exchange Lofts sits right where Downtown Fort Lauderdale meets Flagler Village — a walkable stretch with two grocery stores, museums, and some of the city’s best restaurants within about a 10-minute walk. The beach is 2 miles away, the airport is 4.5 miles out, and the Flagler Arts District is just a mile from your front door. This isn’t a neighborhood you commute out of on weekends — everyday errands, dinner, and a night out are all within reach on foot.
Most residents walk to work — a 10 to 20-minute stroll covers most of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. For those commuting to Miami, the Brightline gets you there in about 35 minutes, no car required. A handful of resident airline pilots make the 11-minute drive to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and it’s just a 3-minute drive (or 15-minute walk) downtown to the Broward County Clerk of Courts. Broward Health Medical Center is 7 minutes away by car.
Grab a sandwich at Top Hat Deli, a classic New York-style deli 4 minutes on foot, or settle in for New American fare at Jay’s (6 minutes) or YOLO, known for one of the best outdoor lounges around (10 minutes). For something more social, The Katherine serves tapas 10 minutes away, and Uncommon Path Brewing pours craft beer and pizza about 15 minutes from home.
Weekdays move at a workweek pace, with joggers and cyclists filling the sidewalks morning and night. Friday and Saturday nights bring the neighborhood to life with packed restaurants, gallery openings, and concerts nearby. Weekends slow back down, with residents splitting time between the Riverwalk, the beach, and a good workout.
